From Ohio, really wanted to check out Yankee Springs. Out of 5 other campgrounds Dee was the only one to awnser. Was beyond friendly, invited my boyfriend and I to a hog roast, fireworks, karaoke and made sure to save a site for us.
We had reservations here and pulled in to a complete dump. It was scary. We left immediately and would not recommend this place.
Primitive sites were spread out and cute. Kayaking, very kid and dog friendly, swimming, close to hiking at Yankee springs and gun lake.
It is the perfect base camp for a couple good sized day hikes along the North country Trail. It's located on a quiet little lake, has a direct trail connecting to the NCT, and is a very nice little campground. I'd highly recommend it!
We loved the family feel. The whole campground was beyond freindly, we will definitely visit again.
Tent camped near field. Kicked around the lake in float tubes, catching pan fish. Easy, relaxing fun. Dee and her crew are excellent hosts. Bathrooms are modest, reminding you that your in the woods. We'll be back and bring friends! Highly recommend!
